“When my soul was embittered, when I was pricked in heart, I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you.
Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” – Psalm 73:21-28
Hello and welcome. : ) If you are here wondering what I am “about”, I invite you to peruse through my written thoughts and ponderings. I hope you will be encouraged, inspired, and perhaps even challenged in a good way as a result of your time here.
I studied cultural anthropology and classical studies in college, and am now in the midst of graduate studies at a Christian seminary. I believe that God exists, and that He is perfect, good, and just. I believe that humanity is inherently bent toward selfishness and evil — a problem which God offers the solution to. I’ve been able to do some traveling in South America, North America, and Asia… experiences which have greatly shaped my view of the world.
I love traveling, adventures, people, and stories. I love to laugh, truly enjoy service and being involved in the community, and think it’s important to celebrate life with thanksgiving and style in the day-to-day. Take a friend out to coffee, build a bon fire on the beach, hug a palm tree, make cookies for your neighbor, give yourself a pedicure, curl up with your sweetheart, go star-gazing, take a road trip, make a snowball, hear a joke, smell a flower, go dancing, say thank you… in big and and small ways let us CELEBRATE each day that God gives. : )
A great read. Thanks for the contribution, looking forward to some more of your work.
An amazing article, thanks for the writing.
